OK, so I was Googling myself. . .

. . . so sue me!

I just got the biggest kick out of this and had to share. There is this mailing list where you can either pay to join (weekly) or join free (you only get messages 3 days a week) and they send you little comic snippets submitted by readers. It’s called Ruminations (rather like Jack Handy’s Deep Thoughts) and I used to laugh at nearly every one they sent out. Its got a pretty wide readership and, from what I have seen from other people whining that they never get their Ruminations printed, its a little competitive to get your Rumination accepted. I am no longer a member because I just generally do not have time for mailing lists right now but I used to really enjoy it while I was.

Anyway, I submitted one and only one Rumination the entire time I was on the list (which was about 2.5 years) and I never heard back from them so I assumed that they never printed it.

Then today, I am Googling myself and I come upon this website. It’s just someone’s personal website and its a page where they have posted their favorite quotes to use for away messages and signature quotes (sigquotes to the hip). Some are from the Ruminations list. Scroll down and see if maybe you see a name on there that is familiar. ;-)

I am not sure whether its cooler that Ruminations printed mine or whether this random person found it funny enough that they posted it on their website.

Either way, I feel kinda cool right now!

Updated 6/23/1010: So, they removed that post from the site so let me quote my accepted Rumination here:

That’s me in the corner.
That’s me in the spotlight losing my religion.
I’m sorry guys. I take the worst vacation slides ever.
