Productivity on a stick!
On Sunday, my parents and I went out in one car and Steve went out in another, all to run errands. My parents were bummed since Sammy had left so I wanted to keep them busy.
First we picked out a kitchen table for Steve and I (dependent, of course, on Steve liking it) and then my dad like off roaded to get to Vitamin Shoppe for some reason.
We went to go pick up my wedding dress (which had a giant run on the front of it and ended up having to be reordered) and to pick out my headdress. (Sidebar to say that, while my dress was a mess and needed to be reordered, Group USA handled it well. They apologized a million times and gave me $45 off a future purchase. Of course, it all remains to be seen when they actually get the dress back but for now I like them. That and they had so many dresses I liked at such a good price, I still definitely recommend them.)
We picked out a pretty veil and tiara and because I opened up a Group USA credit card I saved $100 on the dress, $25 on the tiara (We totally got the tiara for $15), $10 on the veil and then that other $45 that I will put towards the rest of my dress. Savings like that make me giddy!
Incidentally, I wanted to post a picture of the dress here or at least give you the style number but Steve has informed me that if I even mention it he will be tempted to figure it out so you guys will just have to see it in person if you come to visit. That and there is no picture of the veil or tiara online so you would have to imagine that anyway.
Then my family went out to lunch and had the worst service I have seen since that time Karen wrote "Get a personality, bitch" on the tip section of the receipt at Applebee’s and ended up getting our meal comped and a future meal free. (I would like to give a shout out to Red Robin because their food is awesome and even though our waiter sucked and made us wait 30 minutes to take our order and then another 30 before we got our food, the managers really went the extra mile to make it up to us.)
Anyway, I returned from my travels to find that Steve had been a very busy lad indeed. He had purchased us a patio set and redid the entire kitchen with new knobs on the cabinets and installed a brand new sink.

While I put the patio set together (v. proud of myself), Steve also fixed both showers and the tub saving us several hundred dollars worth of plumbing bills.
I feel that I should add at this point that Steve, in one day at Home Depot, spent as much as I did on my wedding dress.
Last night we had a celebratory BBQ, the first ever in our new house. It was the first time we ever used our backyard as well. Please take a moment to admire the fine craftsmanship on the patio table. Whoever put that together just plain rules!

(Yes, Katie, I will post more pictures eventually. We are still missing a lot of furniture!)
