My friend Gary showed me this site and it’s a really interesting idea. Basically, its a community of borrowers and lenders.
For example, rather than borrow from the bank, you’d be borrowing from a a home school association in Idaho or something with some surplus funds that the site monitors.
What’s even cooler, I think, is that a group of people can pool their money together and lend it out for an interest rate of their choice. Like, let’s say our group of friends is 25 people and we each invest $1,000. We could lend that $25,000 for an interest rate of nearly double what the bank would give us in a savings account and make a hearty batch of interest. Of course, an individual could do it just as easily, I just like the idea of a group because an individual isn’t always going to have a large enough sum to make it worth it.
Anyway, just thought it sounded cool. . .

Are celebrity marriages/engagements really all that short lived or is it a reflection of our times in general? I mean, over 50% of marriages ended in divorce must refer to somebody.
Or are they the people throwing the average off?
