My free software obsession has led me to another great find, though, Don is technically the one who introduced me to it first.

Google purchase Picasa and made it free. I installed it and am really glad I did. First thing it does is scan your entire computer for photos, finds them all, and helps you organize them. No small feat! You can also specify if there are certain folders you do not want included in the search (ie if you have a folder of image files that are really clip art). You can also move, edit and delete your photos right within the program and they will move on your computer as well.

You can also, with usually 1 click, make a slide show type movie that comes out really neat. The only downside is that you cannot add sound to these movies yet, but they promise that feature for a future release. Other things that you can make with a click is gift CDs, posters, screen savers and more.

Considering "Organize photos" has been on my to do list for a good year and a half and I did it in about an hour with this software, I am definitely sold. Especially since it was free!
