Astonishing X-Men Vol. 1: Gifted
One of my best friends reads X-Men regularly and hearing him talk about it has made me want to get into it for a while. I saw that they had collected all issues from the latest series into a graphic novel so I thought this might be a good place to jump into the series. I definitely enjoyed this and was able to mostly know what was going on with only my knowledge from the cartoon series (from the 80s) and the movies. But a lot of stuff seemed to reference other issues and past storylines so I felt a little left out for most of it. It’s hard for me to judge how I would have liked it if I knew all the back story, but it was enjoyable, if I did feel a little left out.
