Amazon, why the TMI?

Published by at 4:30 pm under Uncategorized

Amazon.com, friend to stalkers everywhere, offers a syndicated feed of every single thing every person on the site purchases. Go into your profile and look. Unless you disabled it, they are probably publishing a list of everything you purchased as well. Here is an example.

I understand it to some extent as a curiosity. If I were to see, say, a list of books my favorite author had purchased, I might be more inclined to read them. But I am not sure I understand the need for average Joes such as you and me.

Most of what I buy on Amazon isn’t even for me!

Anyway, if Amazon is syndicating your purchases, go ahead and post the feed as a comment so I can stalk you properly! :-)
