Dear makers of the new chipmunk movie,
I am a diehard Alvin and the Chipmunks fan. Ask anyone. They will confirm this.
Jason Lee is a good choice for Dave. I can get behind this. I cannot however get behind the fact that after 40+ years, you changed the voices of the chipmunks out of the Ross Bagdasarian family. I love the Mac guy. I do not love him as Alvin. I love Ross Bagdasarian or Ross Bagdasarian Jr as everyone. Period.
Secondly, why did you make it computer imagery? They look freaky.
Thirdly, where are the chip-freaking-ettes? Somewhere, Brittany is PISSED that she is missing out on the action.
Lastly, dear god, why did you make them all hip hop/gross out? They have fans, you know. I know this will blow your mind but, us fans, see, we liked them HOW THEY WERE! Why in blue blazes would you change them? If you tick off the existing fans, who do you think will go see your stupid movie?
You have angered me. I am still going to see the movie because I get two free movie tickets every Tuesday and free is a good enough price to pay to see anything but I am going ironically and with my brother and we are probably going to mock it. But unless the music is amazing and the harmonies are tight as hell, you are totally dead to me, people.
