August Rush

Published by at 8:08 am under Uncategorized

The hubby and I had this movie from blockbuster for just about 2 and a half weeks and we only finally got around to watching it on Saturday (see previous entries about being too busy). I had only the vaguest ideas of what it was about, I was only curious to see it because I read an article about how the actors had to learn how to “fake” their instruments. My husband was under the impression it was about baseball for some reason. (It’s totally not)

Either way, we finally watched it and we both totally loved it. I think its actually up there with my favorite movies of all time.

Incidentally, I would have to add Waitress and Enchanted to that list of favorite movies as well as those are also movies I saw recently and really loved.

Oddly enough, Keri Russell is in two of these aforementioned movies. Now, I was a Felicity junkie back in the day so I have some loyalty to her but I have to say that I didn’t realize how good she was until Waitress. Why isn’t she A-List by now?

PS: Look for the alien hunting sheriff from Roswell in August Rush as Keri’s dad. It’s like the WB crossover event no one asked for! :-)
