My Little Pony Fair Convention

Published by at 12:23 pm under My Little Pony, noteworthy

As you may have deduced by my status messages, I have been in the midst of a week from hell getting ready to go to the big My Little Pony convention. It is in RI this year which is where the Hasbro factory is so we are going to get to tour the factory so it will be very cool. I am definitely excited about going since we missed the last two but let me put it this way: My husband and I have thousands of dollars worth of ponies and books crammed into our car to sell, none of which was ready to go a few days ago. In three days we washed, styled, tagged and packed all of that. It was not fun, let me tell you. The basic problem is that we hadn’t realized how close this event was. All the while that I was talking about whether I should go to eBay Live or not, I had no idea it was the same weekend as this.

The one good thing, though, is that all this rush rush stress stress ends as soon as we get into the car. Friday is the Hasbro tour and then nothing else so we are going to be tourists and then the actual convention will be fun.

So basically this week will have been pony hell and pony heaven combined.

I wanted to try to live blog from the convention but I am not sure if it will be possible. I am going to try to at least just post one thing a night and some photos. If I cannot even do that, well then expect all sorts of stuff when I get back.

For me, going to an MLP convention is like going to a casino for some people. I need to set aside only a small amount of money to gamble . . . I mean spend on ponies and then be careful not to turn around and spend my winnings. . . I mean the money I make from selling ponies on more ponies. I have a sickness. It’s fine.

Now, I have to just shower, pack my clothes, go to the bank to get our start-up, go to Staples to get our posters, eat lunch, go to the post office to mail my eBay stuff, then . . . hmm. I have more to do than I thought. Maybe I should go. . . .
