SD I appreciate your not being racist or making death threats like some of the other posters on this post which is why I posted your comment. I don't appreciate crazy people on any side of the political spectrum so it was refreshing to actually get a sane post so thank you.

Obviously some people have their reasons for not liking him and I appreciate you putting yours into sentences instead of psychotic dramatic ramblings which is really my issue with the drama I mentioned above. Either way, I think becoming scared about a president based on campaign promises alone is very silly. More than half of what they promise us in the campaign will never come to be and, when it all comes down to it, the president doesn't even have that much power. In the end, we likely won't experience much change other than in the attitude of the other nations that we work with.

Just one thing, you can add me to the list of people who own or work for small businesses. I have to tell you that, as a small business owner, I do not share your concern. With the economy as bad as it is, any upswing can only help me.

Well Obama certainly won the presidency. But it's not so much that he won. It was his right and the American people chose him. I completely respect that. But the fact that a man with his values (this is, lack thereof) and policies would be elected by the American people for the presidency does upset me. History geek that I am, I tend to embrace the viewpoints of the Founding Fathers. That is, I feel terrible that this Calvinistic ideology is a thing of the past, and we have moved on to so-called progress. I already have my world savior. I just want someone to competently, expertly, and wisely run our Federal government.

And I have spoken to people who own or work for small businesses. Under his tax plan, the small stores squeaking by with 250K net won't be able to survive. This will cause countless jobs to be lost. So when it comes to reasons non-dramatic reasons for concern, that's mine. It's really hard to get a tax cut when you don't even have a job to be taxed.
