this calendar is killing me
Check out today’s little nugget of wisdom from the world’s greatest inspirational calendar.
We women have been called parasites, frivolous, empty-headed, and evil.We may not have developed our insecurities all by ourselves.
Oh, I’m sorry! Did I say nugget of wisdom? I meant turd of doom.
First of all, that isn’t even a quote. I could write this calendar. “Women are bitches. Why do women think they are bitches?” You just say something inflammatory and then make a mindless statement afterward.
I was really close to posting yesterday’s which was:
HOUSEWORK
“Cleaning a toilet teaches humility. That’s why I let my husband do it.”—ANONYMOUS
That one seemed curiously backwards to the message on other days and also kind of bitchy. In the end, though, I didn’t want my terrible calendar to overtake this blog so I didn’t post it but, sometimes I just may not be able to help myself.
I also cannot help but feel that “Anonymous” in this context means, the editor couldn’t find a quote and made one up.
