NaNoWriMo Update: Past 40K and under the gun!
My characters are killing each other again. Well, trying to kill each other anyway. It’s a bit of a major plot element that keep failing at it.
Yikes, as they say.
But I am trying to be zen. I have done 10k plus days before so worst case, if the 30th is the only other day I get to write, I can make it happen. If I can squeeze in a few more words here and there in between then, awesome. I’m fitting writing in so far by using time designated as “sleep” so I can keep riding that train for a while more before I have to get off at Break-Down-Town.
I am still working on material for what will either be framing scenes for this book or the opening scene of the second book surrounding my villains at this point. I am having time period disastrous-ness because I don’t want to do the math/research of when this one event would have happened time line wise because then I will get all caught up in research and not write. So this one character is a TV/radio/print reporter/note taker lady because I have no idea if there was even TV in that period or if there were female reporters. I kept it vague so I can fix it up in edits.
She’s something news related-ish. Leave me alone.
Tomorrow I desperately need to sneak out and buy some clothes because I seriously have nothing in my closet that is winter and newer than 5 years old so it’s a situation. I have no idea if I’ll manage any more writing before we take off for Thanksgiving but keep your fingers crossed for me and maybe I can steal a few seconds here or there.
I actually know exactly what I am writing for the next two parts even though I am long off my outline but I am so overtired that the quality of my work has declined to a bad point so I need to call it a night.
Also? Writing with broken glasses right now. They broke earlier today so I need to go see if I can get them fixed so I don’t look like a crooked-glasses square all holiday. I tired Oculus Repairo like I was in Harry Potter. Didn’t work.
If I don’t see you or blog between now and then, have a lovely holiday and best of luck with your novels to those that are playing along with this crazy NaNoWriMo game.
