On being busy and giving the gift of editing (from The Whine Seller)

Published by Hillary DePiano at 2:03 pm under Miscellaneous, On Writing, blogging

Normally my blog posts sort themselves nicely between my various blogs with very little overlap but this week I found myself with two posts that, frankly, could have fit either here or over at The Whine Seller so I posted them at The Whine Seller in the end because I have been neglecting that audience a little because of NaNoWriMo but I wanted to direct your attention to those posts because I think they are of interest to both readerships.

Firstly Is being busy just a state of mind? is the sort of rambling, ill thought out post you’d really expect to be over here at Unpublishable Pennings. ;-) I’m kidding, but it is more of a personal and reflective sort of post than I usually do over on TWS and I would love to know what some of you have to say about it. Coming off of NaNoWriMo, I know some of you are authorities on being busy and would have some great things to say!

Secondly, for writers and friends of writers alike, I did a post for the holiday season called For the writers in your life, give the gift of editing this holiday season (no, seriously!) about Lulu’s new gift certificates that can be redeemed for editing, making them a cool gift for just about any writer. If you can take a peek and weigh in on that, it would be appreciated as well.

I know the TWS posts come over to this blog as part of the weekly digest but I wanted to especially draw your attention to these two.

Hope everyone is having a lovely holiday season!

Me? I’m going to try to get a mad amount of work done tonight because, if I finish my work, my reward is banana bread with peanut butter and a Muppet Christmas movie tonight with the hubby.

If that isn’t incentive, I don’t know what is! :-)
