I seem to have some sort of stomach virus. I feel a bit better today, but still cruddy. Yesterday, however, I was like death warmed over and could do little more than lay down, moan and occasionally run to the bathroom under the threat of impending vomit.

I know, TMI. But I think it’s only fair that you understand the scale of how awesome I am with a little background of how awesome I was not feeling. So in this state of horrible misery I was fully reclined with my laptop awkwardly placed on my tummy so that I could see the screen only and used the magic of the home row to type without looking and worked on my book. Not only did I work on my book, but I somehow hit my goal of ending the weekend by hitting the 20,000 word mark. Which means that I am somehow ahead and so close I could touch the halfway point. I wrote about 6,000 words on a day when I, by rights, could have curled up and did nothing and no one could blame me. And that makes me awesome.

In other news, if you will direct your eyes to the upper left corner of this blog, you will notice a new little status bar. This little fellow will let the curious follow my progress in real time, though I will still use my friend the potato because I love him.
