National Novel Writing Month
Every November, an ever growing community of slightly crazy writers decide to take on the Herculean task of writing an entire book in one month. This insanity is called National Novel Writing Month or just NaNoWriMo which is much easier to say.
Insane? Yes. But also totally do-able as this yearly contest has been going on for quite a while. It’s good to force yourself to do something at least slightly impossible once in a while, I say.
In the past, I have given the world’s most half hearted attempt at this contest but this year I am actually doing it for real. We are 5 days into the contest and I am already a tad behind (I should be at over 10,000 words and I am only at a pathetic 6,763) but I still feel like it is going well.
For my fellow writers out there who are also taking on this challenge, please feel free to write me a comment and let me know how your own book is going. Misery loves company as they say. 
If you want to add me as a writing buddy on the site, please do so. My username is the same as my actual name so it will be pretty easy to find me.
This also means that it will be a pretty quiet month for me aside from eBay Weekly posts which will start tomorrow.
