This was me this month:
Metaphorically speaking of course.
Let’s get this over with: I didn’t meet my goal of 76k for May. My secondary goal of 100k? Yeah, that wasn’t happening either.
In the end, I did manage to churn out over 50k words for the month which is still pretty decent all things considered. I also passed last year’s original goal for the year a few days ago and it’s only March which feels great from a big picture standpoint.
Could I have hit it? Totally. Even with all the stuff that went wrong, I ended up only about 20k shy of 76k. A few more words a day and I would have been there. To get that close with both busted hands and voice program headset? I feel pretty good about it.
Total words written in May is 55,137. Still behind but that’s more then any other month this year so it’s still worth celebrating.
