Since it will likely be a long time before Polar Twilight is available in print through Playscripts, I wanted to at least be able to give you a chance to read it in the meantime.
See, I’m in a strange position with Polar Twilight. The rights have already transferred to Playscripts and they control all performance permissions (which you can secure here). But, until their official acting edition is available, I still need to be able to fill any orders for printed scripts myself. Rather than sketchily printing out my own stapled copies (which is what I have been doing), I decided that it was simpler to just set up a temporary acting edition of the play through Lulu here.
(Pro Tip: I have no idea what Playscripts will ultimately be charging for the play, but these acting editions are set at just $4.99 which is cheaper than most of the scripts on their site. So it may be be thrifty to grab a copy now. Just sayin’.)
As an added bonus, I also set the Lulu listing up so that you can read 100% of the play for free on their website.  (Note: the preview is flash. If it doesn’t automatically open for you, just click the Preview link under the picture of the book cover.) Just like this temporary acting edition, this “free sample” will only last until the second they tell me the official printed edition is available. Once Playscripts has printed scripts of their own, both of the printed edition and the free preview will disappear so you’ll want to check this very limited time offer out now while you have the chance. I won’t be able to give you warning before this offer expires, it will just be gone one day so take advantage now to avoid disappointment.
Until then, consider the ability to read the whole play online my little gift to you. If you do take advantage of this, I’d hugely appreciate your writing a review of the script on Goodreads (not Lulu, since that listing will be deleted soon) to give the show a little more exposure.
Enjoy!
