So, you’re thinking about writing a script in a month as part of the month long Script Frenzy (Screnzy) challenge? This sister event from the people behind NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) gives you the chance to challenge yourself to write a 100 page script in 30 days this April. I’m here to try to give you some tips to help you complete this huge goal.
They don’t film or practice scripts in order. So why do we beat ourselves up trying to write our script in sequential order?
If the part that you are writing is really hard or really boring, skip it! You have my permission to jump ahead to that cool fight scene that you are dying to write. Getting the script done is the point and writing it in order is not necessarily the way to get there. If you are feeling excited about a certain scene, go ahead and get it down and go back and plod through the annoying parts later.
