The Office of Letters and Light, the ridiculously amazing non-profit behind NaNoWriMo, Script Frenzy and the Young Writer’s Program, is having a summer fundraising drive. They’re doing it to be able to afford “the guts” for their newest creative adventure: Camp NaNoWriMo! For anyone who’s ever wanted to participate in National Novel Writing Month but didn’t have the time in November, Camp NaNoWriMo aims to extend the writing madness year ’round so that you can have all the tools and support for writing a 50,000 word novel in a month ANY MONTH YOU WANT IT!
So cool.
But they can’t do it unless they raise some serious fundage and here’s where I’m hoping you can help me out. I have one of those very cool 2010 NaNoWriMo board game style posters. These posters were only available to donors who donated over $100 or MLs so they are much coveted by the NaNo community at large. I’ve decided to auction mine off to benefit the new Camp NaNoWriMo site though it pains me to part with its awesomeness. I’m starting the bidding at $25. Consider that you originally had to make a donation of over $100 to get this puppy, if you were going to make a donation of $25 to the OLL anyway, it’s a great way to score some wall bling.
Even if you don’t expect to win, I’d appreciate your putting in a bid. Sometimes people are shy about bidding when there isn’t a bid there already so you’d be doing me a huge favor by getting the ball rolling as it were.
