For anyone who’s attended Bucknell University, Perkins is a way of life. It’s one of the only restaurants that’s within walking distance of campus (especially the part of campus where most freshmen, who aren’t allowed cars, live) and it’s open very late (back in my day, sonny, it was open 24 hours). There are none in where I live in NJ so, whenever we’re on a road trip, my husband and I stop there for nostalgic reasons. So many of major college memories surround that place in one way or another.

If you’d have asked me, I’d have said that I’d never even heard of Perkins before I went to Lewisburg but, apparently, my Perkins connection dates well before college.

If you were wondering, there is no longer any Perkins in Little Falls, NJ so this restaurant is long gone. But it’s an adorable little sign that Perkins was a big part of my life long before I left for school.

What restaurant mementos have you collected over the years?
