The Script Frenzy website encourages you to create a poster for your script before you haven’t written it and many Screnzy participants like to go one step further and make a trailer for their soon-to-be written script.

I can see there being a value in visualizing your project to this extent. Forcing yourself to come up with central images for your project can crystallize your ideas to help you with the writing when it comes time to write the script.

But some people find this a waste of time and a distraction from writing your script.

What do you think? Have you made a poster or trailer for your soon-to-be written script? Was it a valuable tool?
