So, remember a few weeks ago when I told you that Playscripts had given The Love of Three Oranges a starred recommendation for high schools? I glanced at the list of recommendations today and we were gone and I panicked for half a second that I ticked someone off and they removed us when I glanced slightly upwards and noticed something pretty frickin’ spectacular.

We didn’t just move onto the list of top ten most popular plays, we’re all the way up at number five! And school isn’t even in session yet!
This news comes on the heels of another exciting announcement. The American International School Vienna just signed up to perform Three Oranges this fall which will be the show’s first ever Austrian premiere. Amazing, humbling and I still don’t know how countries where English isn’t the official language even find my play let alone decide to do it but I LOVE it! In the past we’ve had productions in Germany, Canada, Australia, England, Singapore, and Romania so Austria is in good company.
Speaking of awesome things, all my trash talking about moving up the list of most popular adaptions wasn’t for naught. Since we last checked it, we went up a whole slot so that now we’re #4 on that list. I’m not giving you a screenshot. I’m saving a screenshot for the top three. 😉 I have to make you work for it.
To the fans of Three Oranges past, present and future, all I can say is that we’d never been in this position if it weren’t for your support and I am eternally grateful. It looks like 2011 is going to truly be The Year of the Orange.
