NaNo What Now? Your guide to life after NaNoWriMo is now available for pre-order

Yes, I have yet another publishing announcement. I’m apparently only productive in weird spurts, I don’t know what to tell you.

But in addition to my new play, The She Bear, the big revision of The Green Bird (which is live so update your eBook copies), and the brand new one-act version of The Green Bird, I have yet another big announcement to share. My brand new non-fiction book, NaNo What Now?, is coming February 29th, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon with other retailers to follow soon.

I started this project some time ago, envisioning it as a simple collection of NaNoWriMo articles I’d written for my region and shared on the blog and it expanded into what is looking like several different books. This first book is a fast paced guide to exactly what happens after you finish NaNoWriMo and includes strategies for finishing your book, publication and editing and revision. While some parts of the book will be familiar to regular readers, everything’s been completely rewritten so, irony of ironies, I foiled my plan to release a quick eBook of previous material. But it’s a better book for the new stuff and I think my fellow Wrimos will find it very helpful so I’m happy to have done that additional work.

In a fun twist, I wrote the bulk of this book during NaNoWriMo itself so everything is very meta.

The rest of this NaNoWriMo series, I’m going to finish them as I finish them with no firm deadlines in mind. As happened with this project, sometimes the mood strikes while I’m stuck on my current project and looking for a way to cheat on my fiction. I was in the midst of doing the big edits detailed above and I realized that, while I was in revision mode, I should get everything down and finish this book while I was at it. Before I knew it, boom, the revision was done and the book was packed up to the editor way sooner than I imagined.
