Some parts of a novel are much easier to write than others.
Those first few words? Terrifying! But once you get going, things will go pretty smoothly in the beginning. Words will just be spilling out, youโll be excited about your story and thenโฆ boom. Youโll hit a wall, the story will get harder to tell, and youโll want to quit. This doesn’t mean youโre a terrible writer or that your story idea is no good. It happens to everyone. The middle of the story, the part youโll hit at just about the second week of NaNoWriMo, is the hardest part to write and itโs also the time when most people quit and abandon their novels. But you have to fight the urge to pack it up and push forward because, once you pass the middling middles and push forward to the climax of your story, youโll find that the writingย gets much easier and the words will be flowing even faster than before.
