I’m having a kind of crazy year and I think it’s probably easiest to just show you what I mean rather than try to explain. Not counting all the events I’m running (and fundraising stunts I’m coordinating) for NaNoWriMo or family holidays and other obligations, this is my November 2015…

Seventeen full productions and one staged reading. Of six different plays. Three of which are new this year.
And that is just November. I don’t have a month without a production going on somewhere so far this year. I realize this is nothing compared to some playwrights out there but as someone who only started doing this playwrighting thing with my whole ass less than a year ago, it’s pretty darn cool.
Obviously I’m not going to all of them because it would be completely insane though I will be attending the double feature at EF Academy at the productions of The Green Bird at both Ridgefield and Phoenixville. But I’m incredibly grateful to every one of these amazing groups for their support and for choosing my plays out of the zillions of amazing scripts out there and, while Three Oranges always seems to be a fall favorite, I’m overwhelmed by how much support new shows like The Green Bird, Three Padded Walls and Weak Days have had. Considering I’ve gotten to see two productions of Daddy Issues in a year when I hadn’t seen any a few years ago as speaks to the fact that I seem to have hit some kind of stride with this playwrighting thing and I hope I can keep up this momentum.
